Ernabella - Relative Colours

‘Ernabella – Relative Colours’ – new work from Australia’s oldest indigenous art centre

This is a unique exhibition of contemporary art from a desert art centre dating back almost 70 years.

Ernabella Arts is part of the Pukatja community, the very first indigenous settlement on APY Lands in the far north-west of South Australia.

This show came about from a trip I did to Ernabella last year, I was struck by the profound connections these artists have between country, culture, family and art. It has taken a while to curate this exhibition,  but I’m thrilled to now be able to share these beautiful paintings with Sydney art lovers.

Aboriginal Contemporary works with over 15 remote art centres around Australia. Now in its seventh year, it has earned a reputation as one of Sydney’s leading galleries for contemporary Aboriginal art, showcasing both established and emerging artists.
