"Painting makes me think of going out bush in Blackstone. We had no cars no shops-ate bushfoods - goanna, kampurarpa rabbit, honey ants."

My paintings make me think back to when i lived in the bush with my family. They are like a memory and a map of the country, my grandfathers country Witapi Wara. "Originally from Blackstone in Western Australia, Delma now lives at Watinuma Community, twenty five kilometers from Fregon on the *APY Lands. She is married and has a daughter and a young son. Delma paints at the Kaltjiti Art Centre. 2016 Chairperson and a values arts-worker contributing to the management of the centre. Delma's father is a well known artist Untjima Fred Forbes from Blackstone *Anangu Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara Lands, in the far northwest of South Australia.
