Story from the certificate of authenticity:
This painting represents the artist's mother's country in Binjin - Bucket Springs, near the Keep River area of the Kimberley. The red ochre areas represent the hills. Water flows from two fresh springs in the hill, at the centre are two small creeks that flow into the Keep River. At the left is another freshwater spring and creek called Nimbiya. There is a cave here called Niberranunung which is a dreaming site for the butterfly. The range of hills across the top of the painting is called Goodim.
