Story from the certificate of authenticity:
Cynthia's Paintings depict topographical maps of the country surrounding and of Warakurna Community. Her works often explore the changes this landscape undergoes with changing seasons. She maps out the numerous waterholes and sandhills with consideration, to show the subtle contours of this country. While Cynthia's paintings do not speak specifically to Tjukurrpa (dreaming). her work is always heavily influenced by culture, and her family.
Cynthia learnt about painting through these important family members but has since developed a distinctive personal practice. She states, " I have worked really hard at taking what I learnt and developing my own style."
